Kyojo Ri peak came into existence as a peak climbing in 2002. It was inaugurated by the Ministry of Tourism on that day and since then it is mentioned on group 'A' list climbing the peak by Nepal Mountaineering Association. The first group to climb this peak was led by a French/British team.
This expedition is one of the technical peak climbing which requires some experience of climbing and spring - Autumn is considered to be the best time to try this peak climbing.
The best path to Kyajo Ri peak is from Mende, which is a village situated in Thame side from Namche and the other path is from the Machhermo side which is situated in the Gokyo valley.
We must know that Kyajo Ri is a portion of the Khumuche Himal,
Which is situated in the Gokyo Valley of Mount Everest Region of Nepal. This Mountain is remarkable, and very Lovely Mountain. The normal climb of Kyajo Ri from base camp is at an elevation of 4,600m to Camp 1 at over 5200m which requires a 2-hour hike.
Camp 1 to Camp 2 requires you to have some technical climbing experience. This expedition is considered to be a difficult expedition listed by the Nepal mountaineers Association. There is substantial technical climbing needed to reach high altitudes. Although you face the technical challenges, it is found that you Faceless complications as compared to other higher expedition and it is also a little bit cheaper because it is categorized in Peak climbing.
