HIGHLIGHTS
BEST SEASON
The most suitable time of year for the Pikey Peak Trek is from September to December in the fall and from February to June in the spring. These times of year are renowned for their fantastic weather and stunning scenery. For some trekkers, the frigid winter weather may not be ideal. If you plan to hike Pikey Peak in the winter, we advise you to investigate whether tea houses are available at higher elevations. As people move to lower elevations to escape the cold and snow, the tea shop frequently remains closed.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL
The Pikey Peak Trek is a moderately challenging trek, suitable for those with a reasonable level of fitness and some trekking experience. It involves uphill and downhill sections, requires stamina and endurance, and reaches an altitude of approximately 4,065 meters. Proper acclimatization and preparedness for varying weather conditions are essential. With guidance and preparation, the trek offers a rewarding adventure for those seeking a moderate challenge.
ACCOMMODATION AND FOODING
In the Everest region, the Pikey Peak Trekking Path is still relatively unknown. Since the trekking trail is in such a remote area, the majority of the lodging options are tea houses or locally-owned homestays. Two-bed bedrooms with a set of blankets and pillows are available for you here. All visitors typically share the restrooms. Staying at these homestays and tiny lodges is the ideal opportunity to interact with the locals and get a close-up look at their culture and way of life. Packet foods are rarely accessible due to the area's isolation. Your meals will all contain regional produce. The standard menu for visitors is dal, bhat, and curry. Vegetables are typically cultivated close to home without the use of chemicals, making them organic. Consequently, the trek is reviving for your stomach as well. The greatest treatment for altitude sickness is also recognized to be these regional foods.
ITINERARY
In the lower Everest region, there are numerous alternative trekking routes and local trails that require climbing Pikey Peak.
